For more than a decade, Two Little Owls has been part of the East Cambridge community, caring for children from infancy through Pre-K and helping prepare them for the transition to kindergarten. Joining CPP is a natural extension of that work—and of our commitment to making high-quality early childhood education part of a strong, connected Cambridge community.
What is the Cambridge Preschool Program?
The Cambridge Preschool Program is Cambridge's publicly-funded preschool program, overseen by the Cambridge Office of Early Childhood in collaboration with the City of Cambridge and Cambridge Public Schools.
CPP covers the cost of the school-day, school-year portion of preschool for eligible children. Eligibility and funding for extended-day and summer care vary by age, family eligibility, and provider. CPP at Two Little Owls
Beginning in September 2027, eligible children matched with Two Little Owls through CPP will be able to experience our Pre-K program as part of Cambridge's citywide preschool system.
Our approach to Pre-K is rooted in a belief that children are capable, curious learners. Our emergent, Reggio-inspired approach prepares children for kindergarten—and for life in a community.

No. Families apply through the Cambridge Preschool Program's centralized application process. You are welcome—and encouraged—to tell TLO if you hope your child will attend through CPP, particularly if your child is already enrolled here, but you must still complete the official CPP application.
